Tuan on Adoption

The questions I always thought in the back of my head about the war was; “Would I have been born if there wasn’t a war? Would I have had the opportunities that I have experienced?” Being born 9/1/74 nine months to the date after New Years Eve, I have concluded to myself that I was a New Years Celebration accident. But I don’t look down upon it negatively. But it makes me wonder if what kind of work my mother was in during the war. Either way, I’m proud of my mother’s decision and if I may find her soon, I greet her with open arms, tears of happiness and joy.
